Always help each other

We are really astonished.

We are flabbergasted by all the misery and sadness that has been happening among young people lately. The violence mainly affects boys.

We are young ourselves and try to understand what is going on. Because these incidents are wrong. To be honest, we just don’t understand this senseless violence and aggression. That’s why we started reading about it and delved into it for this blog.

‘THIS IS NO TIME TO LET DOWN OUR GUARD ON YOUTH VIOLENCE. RESEARCH DEMONSTRATES THAT APPROPRIATE INTERVENTIONS MADE DURING OR PRIOR TO ADOLESCENCE CAN DIRECT YOUNG PEOPLE AWAY FROM VIOLENCE TOWARD HEALTY AND CONSTRUCTIVE LIVES.’

David Satcher

The quote above says a lot about what’s going on. We must act earlier and more appropriately in the lives of young people.

Violent video games

We have read that playing video games desensitizes young people to violence. What it mainly says is that the influences of these video games determine the view of young people on violence.

All this senseless violence in video games is at some point heavily downplayed by the viewer. The vision of violence is completely different from what it really is. Reality is greatly distorted in these games and these influences are very bad for young people.

If there is too little information and guidance, young people become the victims of these video games. Senseless violence in real life can be caused by this. Parents, schools and the government have an important task to provide better information about this.

DATA SUGGEST VERY STRONGLY THAT PARTICIPATING IN THE PLAYING OF VIOLENT VIDEO GAMES BY CHILDEREN AND YOUTH INCREASE AGGRESSIVE THOUGHT AND BEHAVIOR; INCREASE ANTISOCIAL BEHAVIOR AND DELINQUENCY; ENGENDER POOR SCHOOL PERFORMANCE; DESENSITIZE THE GAME PLAYER TO VIOLENCE.’

Leland Yee

The meaning of the above quote: Data strongly suggest that participation in children and youth playing violent video games increases aggressive thinking and behavior: increases antisocial behavior and delinquency; cause poor school performance; desensitize the player to violence.

Parents seem to be quite ignorant. After all, they are the ones who usually buy these video games for their kids. That means that parents need to think a lot more about what kind of games they buy for their children. That’s the only way to protect them from being impervious to violence early on.

‘CHOOSE YOUR FRIENDS WISELY, AND ALSO CHOOSE FRIENDS THAT YOU CAN TRUST.’

Elyn Saks

Who are your friends?

Who are your friends and I know who you are. That’s a saying we often heard growing up. When you hear that at the beginning, you think: that’s really weird what you’re saying now. You understand better as you get older.

Indeed, your friends are a reflection of who you are. Otherwise you can’t be happy when you’re with them. That’s where the positive or negative starts in your life. You often don’t realize that.

We used to find it bloody annoying when our parents made a comment about our friends. Then they explained what they meant by it. We still found it annoying. Now we understand better and they were mostly right.

No one can pick your friends for you, you do that yourself. It is important to know exactly who you are dealing with.

‘THE CROWD OF INFLUENCES STREAMING ON THE YOUNG SOUL IS SO GREAT, THE CLODS OF BARBARISM AND VIOLENCE FLUNG AT HIM SO STRANGE AND OVERWHELMING, THAT AN ASSUMED STUPIDITY IS HIS ONLY REFUGE.’

Friedrich Nietzsche

You decide for yourself whether you implement what you have learned in your life. But at least you learned it. If you are not taught it, you do not know it and therefore you lack development and education. Sad but true.

You don’t learn enough in school

The responsibility of children lies with the parents. Schools and the government certainly play a major role in this. Young people spend the most important time of their lives at school. It would be good to learn more there than is happening now. You don’t learn enough in school. That’s a fact.

There are few teachers who really guide you well. It doesn’t have to be 1 on 1. If it is handled properly, it is much more fun in class. Unfortunately, schools and teachers are not that far yet.

Young people are at school for so long every day, it is actually incredibly sad how little real life knowledge is carried about it. Knowledge that young people can use for the rest of their lives is necessary.

AS PARENTS ONE OF THE BIGGEST JOBS WE HAVE, IS TEACHING OUR CHILDEREN HOW TO RESOLVE PROBLEMS EFFECTIVELY. WE LIVE IN AN ERA WHERE EVERYONE IS QUICK TO ACT THE FOOL OVER SIMPLE ISSUES.’

Drexel Deal

Education and Development

It is important to better guide young people and teach them the lessons of life early. We’ve had that too. There’s nothing wrong with that. You know early on how life works and that helps you make the right choices. You will always make mistakes, that is part of your development and life.

It is crucial to have the right people around you. Because that makes all the difference in your life. You have to learn early what is right and wrong. You have to learn early about the consequences of the choices you make.

To realize change in the lives of young people, a lot will have to be approached from an early age. We should care much more about the well-being of all young people. Otherwise, society will suffer even more from this, as is already happening.

‘JEWS KNOW THIS IN THEIR BONES. OUR COMMUNITY COULD NOT EXIST FOR A DAY WITHOUT ITS VOLUNTEERS. THEY ARE THE LIFEBLOOD OF OUR ORGANIZATIONS, WHETER THEY INVOLVE WELFARE: YOUTH: CARE OF THE SICK AND ELDRLY, OR EVEN PROTECTION AGAINST VIOLENCE AND ABUSE.’

LaMelllo Ball

Is the lack of violent youth rich or poor, love, attention, protection, insufficient supervision and/or authority? What do you think?

We must tackle these problems together. If we respect each other, we always help each other. Because if we just keep talking and talking, the problems will get much bigger. It’s about focus and action!

DO WE HAVE TO TALK IN ORDER TO AGREE OR AGREE IN ORDER TO TALK.’
